ACHIEVEMENTS OF NCUDA

  • The production of NCUDA Almanac brought sons and daughters of Nchenfem under one umbrella. This almanac duped: “NCUDA ALMANAC 2016” carried pictures and names of some sons and daughters of Nchenfem, as well as administrative and traditional authorities of Lebialem in particular and Cameroon in general;
  • Periodical meetings – we have been able to have periodical meetings in most of our branches like Kumba on the 21st April 2016, 22nd July 2016 at Muyuka, 5th November 2016 at Limbe 11th March 2017 at Dschang, 12th August 2017 at Douala and 18th February at Buea. During these periodical meetings, the bureau has always urged members to invite all Sons and Daughters to belong to NCUDA Meeting wherever he or she is. Such semester meetings came to stand still because of the uprising at the exponential rate of the anglophone crisis in Cameroon. The towns that we visited have had an increase in their numbers and the way of organizing their meetings is greatly modifier and a lot of transparency in the management of the meeting affairs;
  • Under this our era, fourteen branches have either be revamped or created, thus we have the following branches:
    • NCUDA FONTEM
    • NCUDA KUMBA
    • NCUDA MUYUKA
    • NCUDA BAFIA
    • NCUDA BUEA
    • NCUDA LIMBE
    • NCUDA DSCHANG
    • NCUDA NASU
    • NCUDA NCHENSCO
    • NCUDA BAMENDA
    • NCUDA BAFOUSSAM
    • NCUDA DOUALA
    • NCUDA YAOUNDE
    • NCUDA USA

    They are some other groups that we are still trying to bring them on board for the development of our quarter.

  • Institution of membership cards – membership cards were printed and distributed to all the branches duped “Nchenfem passport”. The purpose of these cards is for Sons and Daughters of Nchenfem to confirm their development dues back home.
  • Computer studies for Nchenfem children – Four Nchenfem children where trained and graduated at the community vocational institute of computer and management studies in Yaoundé. This was intended to help train others at home in a media center that was envisaged to be put up at Nchenfem before the outbreak of these crises in the Northwest and Southwest of Cameroon. A temperate site for this project was the Domestic science Hall at Nchenfem and an authorization from the administrative authorities that have been granted and some computers and printers are already available for the start of the project. Our wish is that everyone from Nchenfem should be able to communicate worldwide without going out of Nchenfem.
  • The maintenance of existing water project. Before, the fleeing of people at Nchenfem and it environs water was flowing regularly in Nchenfem. Thanks to the re-organization of regular human investment labor from the water catchment down the taps. A water committee to this effect was put in place by the national executive bureau and the committee was headed by the home branch president, Francis Tazocha. With this, we have been able to maintain the supply of water which is being consumed by the population and some people from Menji the Divisional headquarter;
  • Nchenfem Map out project. During our 2015 convention at Nchenfem, it was generally agreed that a map out of the quarter with it’s the streets and edifice of the quarter be done. The National Executive had come out with the sketch of Map of Nchenfem. The initial map sketch was to be sent to resource persons at home so that it could have roads and streets on it.
  • Nchenfem Permanent Media Center – Negotiations were ongoing for this project permanent site but could not go much further because of the anglophone crisis. However, some plans for the site were already produced and we were waiting for the observations and recommendations from technicians.
  • Nchenfem humanitarian assistance to it people. The first consignment of food stuff and some basic commodities were sent home during the early weeks of the crisis. Some of our branches have equally come in to support this project that we are given special that to all of them, especially the USA branch for the support there have given. Not only food but wish of health support has been sent to the people affected by these crises and we are continuing supporting the displaced persons and those at home.
  • Payment of developmental dues – We have been able to let our branches know the importance of developmental dues payment regularly and this has been effective. This is also due to the fact that everyone has been involved in the management and there is transparency in what is been done.
  • Today, we can say that we are moving towards our goals gradually and steadily. As we at the National executive usually put it: “Ask yourself what you have done in Nchenfem and not what Nchenfem has done for you.”
